Morchella Conica

 

These are the fungi for spring time. They start growing from the end of February throughout 

 

May, primarly in Mediterranean regions and yellow pine forests. Its domain stretches from 

 

Aegean coasts through Anatolia to Sarıkamış, then to Caucasus.

Sarıkız mantarı 

 

Meşe ve kestane ormanlarında haziran ve kasım aylarında çıkar. Kendine has çok güzel aromatik kokusu vardır. Portakal sarısı rengindedir.

 

Chantarellus Cibarius

 

This orangey yellow color mushroom has a lovely smell and flower. Like delicate look. It has a very pleasent and distractive smell. It appears briefly between June and November then going back to sleep again grows in oak and chestnut forests. It is known as the “coy maiden” of the woods.

İtalyan mutfağının prensesi, İtalyan adıyla Porcini , haziran ayında başlayıp sonbahar sonlarına kadar yetişen bir mantar çeşididir. Kendi ailesinde çeşitleri vardır.

 

Boletus Edilus

 

Boletus Edulis are the famous porcini fungi of Italy however, in Turkey it is called “bolet” or Ayı Mantarı. It is the kind of mushroom you can find in the Italian menus of quality restaurants in Turkey. This can be found in the forests from the beggining of June until the end of Autumn. Their natural habitat is oak, pine, chestnut, gürgen and kayın trees.

Craterellus Cornucopioides

 

It is from same family as Sarıkız(Chantarel), only smaller than chantarel and it’s back. There are dried and fresh varieties in Artebella products. It is best served with fish.

Hydnum Repandum

 

Its pale-buff to buff-orange fruiting body resembles Cantharellus cibarius, but the latter is yellower in color, has ridges, not spines on the lower cap surface and generally grows hardwoods like Quercus agrifolia, not conifers. Hydnum umbilicatum is a closely related species, smaller size, the cap having a small, central pit.
